This NEW Sensor Kit V2.0 for Raspberry Pi B+ is a revision based on the previous version Sensor Kit for Raspberry Pi B+. Most of the experiments are the same between the two. The key difference lies in the code and Fritzing breadboard images which are changed greatly in the new version – SunFounder has redesigned the modules to be really utilized in this kit, and to keep the same experimental phenomenon we revised the code and images accordingly. Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module

The Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module is a 5 megapixel custom designed add-on for Raspberry Pi, featuring a fixed focus lens. It’s capable of 2592 x 1944 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p60/90 video. It attaches to Pi by way of one of the small sockets on the board upper surface and uses the dedicated CSi interface, designed especially for interfacing to cameras.
The board itself is tiny, at around 25mm x 20mm x 9mm. It also weighs just over 3g, making it perfect for mobile or other applications where size and weight are important. It connects to Raspberry Pi by way of a short ribbon cable.
The sensor itself has a native resolution of 5 megapixel, and has a fixed focus lens on-board. In terms of still images, the camera is capable of 2592 x 1944 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p60/90 video.
The Pi NoIR camera board has no Infrared filter making it perfect for taking Infrared photographs or photographing objects in low light (twilight) conditions.

SunFounder Sound Voice Sensor Module for Arduino and Raspberry Pi

Introduction

The sound sensor has a built-in capacitive electret microphone which is highly sensitive to sound. Sound waves cause the thin film of the electret to vibrate and then the capacitance changes, thus producing the corresponding changed voltage. Since the voltage change is extremely weak, it needs to be amplified. So it is converted into a voltage ranging from 0 to 5V, which is received by data acquisition unit after A/D adapter conversion and then sent to an MCU.

Application

The module can be applied to noise monitoring in traffic artery, and detection of noises within the boundary of industrial enterprises, factories, and construction sites, detection of noises in urban regions, and noise detection and assessment of living surroundings.
