Having Rhyme Time fun at home

We love Rhyme Time at our local library. I’m not sure how common Rhyme Time is, but I have seen libraries from all over the UK that host similar events. Its a good, free and fun activity that our little one enjoys, and is helping start an enjoyment of music and singing that I hope he carries with him for the rest of his life. To spread the fun out over the week, I’ve found a few of our favourite Rhyme Time songs on YouTube, so any time can be Rhyme Time!

Wind the bobbin up

Row row row the boat

Incy wincy spider

And, a bonus version in Spanish, for no reason other than it sounds beautiful

A big red bus

Twinkle twinkle little star

Listening to the videos on your TV

If your TV can’t play YouTube videos directly, then have a think about getting a Google Chromecast, it makes it possible to play YouTube videos on your TV via your phone or tablet. It also works with iPlayer, so brilliant for accessing a lot of great content quickly, cheaply and easily!

If you have any other favourite rhymes or songs, please share in the comments!

I often have YouTube videos on the TV for Luke. We don’t have a super clever TV that plays the by itself, we just use the PS4! Great videos though, I am going to have to try and find them now. 🙂 Great post too, we haven’t been to a rhyme time yet, but I know our library does host it. Ray xx @ lukeosaurusandme.blogspot.co.uk
